Party Dip/Soup Recipes
Soak one pound of green split peas for a couple hours in cold tap water. Drain the water and place the peas in a bakeable container. Add one package of seasoning and 4 tablespoons of oil. Add 24 ounces of cold tap water. Mix well. Cover tightly with foil and bake at 375F for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Remove the container from the oven and mix the beans well with a fork or spoon until they are broken and the seasoning is well mixed. The soup is ready. It Cooks while you exercise! Enjoy a hot bowl of soup with croutons, crackers or chips.
Cool the soup to room temperature and refrigerate. The soup turns into an enjoyable cold dip. Enjoy the dip with your favorite chips or crackers. Use the dip as a spread on your choice of bread. You can also convert the dip into soup again. Place 4 table spoons of dip in a bowl. Add one half cup water. Warm in a microwave and mix. The soup is ready again.
Soak one pound lentils for 2 hours. Drain the water and place the lentils in a bake pan. Add 3 Table spoons of oil and one package of Party Dip Seasoning. Mix well and add 8 ounces of cold tap water, cover tightly with foil and bake at 375F for one hour. Delicious lentils are ready! Enjoy with chips or your favorite bread or rice.
